28/19/20 yesterday --- I was a little confused by the time I got to the third nest box and realized I was putting more eggs in the basket than hens in the flock, lol, then I remembered I had gathered early the day before when I was out doing coop chores and never went back out to get the afternoon eggs.

Yesterday 10/12... Lost a laying hen to a dog next door. Crazy bird jumped the fence and the dog thought she was a toy. Crunch.

None yet today.

I bought 20 1-year-old red stars from some lady down the street for $8 each just yesterday and I was amazed today! I got 15/20 large brown eggs. I thought it would take them a week or so to get accustomed to the new yard but no, they went all out. Going to buy 10 more right now
