How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

My barred rock girls come through again 5/5 with 12 barred pullets 3 EE
I gave away 4 Barred pullets to have more EE

7/13 & 3/4 banty EES took a day off while my bantam Cochins are every day layers, course the EES are 2 yrs old. Three broody hens now but only using 2 nests. Nothing like trying to get eggs from out under two ****** bantams. Pulled one out then she jumped up under my Cochin who proceeded to peck her almost bald.

I received another egg from my girls. So another 1/6 hens

oh well hope the rest follow suit and lay them beauty's lol

Normally we get 3/4 but slow today only 2/4?

14 eggs today. Lost another hen to an attacker. Not sure if it was Wednesday morning or Tuesday evening. Whatever it was had eaten off the beak, eaten part of the neck, opened the side, ate through the ribs and had eaten a small amount of the insides. I think some one ( me) or something ( the dog) must have scared off the critter without realizing it.

Temp 94F degrees yep no wind at all today and the sun was burning hot, funny when I was in my 20's I could work in hotter themp's than that all day and now just walking across the yard after 1100 hours and I am just down right beat and need to go take a nap .

The chickens spent most of the day hiding in the shade or under the shed's

8 yesterday. Just did a bird count... I just hit the 74 mark with my 2 new silver grey dorkings chicks I got this morning. I'm so dead.
