How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

None from three 21 week old pullets. Still waiting impatiently for the first egg.

some take a little more time.. are they in a run or free ranging?

They get about 2 hours a day out of the run. But mostly confined. I think two are due anytime. Really thought the bsl would have been laying by now.

I don't think it's likely. Not many places to hide in my yard and I'm out most of the time with them Plus it's an hour at daylight and dusk.

3/5 more feathers being lost.. But now I know it is one of my little
black sex-links pullet giving me a olive kinda egg daily getting a bit bigger every day
but right on time every morning my little olive egg

3 eggs today. I'm running between 3 and 6 a day.

I have 12 girls (6 older laying since last summer) and 6 pullets 4 for the pullets are 20 weeks 2 are 15 ish.

Got 3 greens the other day so I know at least 2 of the younger are laying and I had a very light cream color for about 2 weeks but haven't gotten it again in about 2 weeks never got it the same day as my lightest tan, and it was about the same size as my large eggs so not sure if it was just a fluke in color. Still waiting to see. Looking at my girls I have 9 of 12 with red combs but I know one of the 3 without is laying (we watched her lay her first egg).

So long story short I potentially have 10 of 12 laying. Getting between 3 and 6 a day. Oh and 1 broody but I can't put up the broody time out becuase the littles use it to jump the fence...

19 eggs today.
Sadly, I discovered that 1 of the eggs I collected yesterday, was indeed a very developed chick, which I accidently killed when i cracked it open. Actually, I believe I killed it by bringing it inside the air conditioned house last night. I don't know if the mark on the egg shell rubbed off, was covered by dirt or if I just didn't see it, but whatever the cause I feel awful. If I ever have broody hens again I will most definitely move them to a place by them self so I don't have to worry about other hens laying in the same nest ( and me making the same mistake that I just made). I sure hope she still gets something to hatch successfully. I'm not really holding out much hope at this point.
