Mildred looks hot, Does Black Betty not share her kiddie pool and swing with Mildred? (4/5 today).GC

LOL. Betty is actually my most shy, she tends to stay out of everyone's way. Mildred always seems hot right now even when the others aren't. I've been wondering if she's started molting aping her wings? Maybe she's more uncomfortable then hot? But it's hard to say with her she's been in a slow moLtd since early summer and still lays eggs 2-3 days in a row for me. I had the kiddy pool in the run for a while but none of then will even go near it. I want to get a smaller on for them next summer, that one is usually the dog pool

I've been keeping track for the last two weeks...but someone took the paper I wrote my numbers on!

I started at four...it got up to 17 eggs last week.

2 eggs for today!

(I'm so glad they've stopped, my cue to stop setting. Feathers are everywhere!)

You are smarter than I am...lol.

One would think I'd be smart enough to stop before this.

But no. It's down to 4 degrees at night here. (39F)
I think I stopped incubating last year at the end of Sept/early October. But then I started up in December.
Not going to start incubating until March at least. (I think)
I was fine this year until all the blue/surprise chicks started popping out.
It'll be nice to eat eggs again though.

oh nooooo not doing all that many but two are dark easter egger black sex-link pullet I have 2
and my F-1 Blue cockerel and I only have one roo the one must be from my barred rock
it was a brown egg one is pretty blue right now a touch of white, the second out
was black with the chest white

Lol, my chickens won't go near the kiddie pool either except to drink out of it. They never go wading in it.

My hens will be 22 weeks old on Monday and still haven't laid any eggs

I'm beginning to think they never will! They are not full sized yet, will they lay before they reach adult size?
