5 again today. One was from 5 1/2 year old Ethel and one from 4 year old Trouble who had a stroke a few months ago. Today was the first day they've laid recently I believe. I think I have 7 LF laying now.

I'm still new to chickens and have a small operation with my 5 laddies.here in Minnesota. I thought chickens were supposed to slow down in the winter but my laddies just keep on working it. I was wondering if this is normal or ifs just the breeds?

2 Barred Rock
2 Rhode island reds
1 Buff Orpington

So far this year we have had 106 eggs (4 a day avg). But lately I've been getting 5 a day on on the regular.

1/19 = 5
1/20 = 4
1/21 = 5
1/22 = 5
1/23 = 5
1/24 = 4
1/25 = 5
1/26 = 5

I keep them on a regular diet of organic feed from fleet farm and not to many treats other than the occasional recycled shells or crickets.

Excellent! Very normal on the first year of laying, specially the barred rocks and RIRs
