I seem to be at 14 of 20 today

4/5 Friday, 4/5 today. The second 32 egg week this month. It's 7pm so I'll not be updating that I found another at lockup, cause they have been locked up for the night.
This is the first 2 consecutive days I only got 4 eggs a day. GC

This week, I have had a lot of colored eggs, but not so many brown eggs. It dawned on me that I hadn't collected any Cuckoo Marans eggs all week and that chicken loves to jump the fence and go in the woods. We found the stash today. I believe the Golden Laced Wyandottes joined her in her naughty egg laying adventure. They have been in the woods, too and are new to laying. All the eggs passed the freshness test and I am fairly certain they are all from this week. Today was my biggest collection with the 16 I found in the woods and the ones that were laid in the nesting boxes.

Temp moderate winds temps stayed in the high 50's .




The sign reads Ballarat a ghost town I spent my day at and I was thinking there might
be a couple of people there but I was wrong people came and went all day long some
stayed long enough to take a couple of photos and bank thy were gone but it was
never quiet for longer then then minutes and others showed up .



I know the photos are not that great but they were taken with some new Binoculars that
take photos of the land and look for minerals giving off magnetic markers, something
hard for me to explain .
Anyway these girls showed up to take photos of themselves tap dancing and they were
great and stayed till way past dark, nice show with people coming and going the
entire time as wild burrows walked around in the back ground .





Funny the camera well do better if the object is further away This is Mt. Whitney
some 50 miles to the north of Ballarat . up close the photos are garbage .






These mountains are to the east of Ballarat and yes that is snow on top of them
but only 10 miles away .




Sorry not so many chicken stories today but the desert is such an amazing place
at times and getting so crowded with humans just passing through or visiting .

Hey Gander sounds like you had a nice day! Weather looked like it was great as well. I spent the day with the movers, packing up family treasures from my parent's house and taking some to storage & some to my house. Unfortunately, my house now looks like it should be on an episode of hoarders! LOL, well, not quite that bad, but man, there is a lot of stuff here! The movers were working for 11 hours!! I bet they are glad to be heading home!
2 weeks from now we have the estate cleanout company coming to my parent's house to clean out everything that no one wanted or had a place to keep it. Sadly, there were still lots of family antiques left behind..

I had 8 eggs yesterday, and only 4 eggs today.
