It amazes me she has even resumed laying. She lost about 25% of her weight. But she has got use of her damaged eye and beak back partially.

I have many large hawks and owls here. Had one hawk flying into my barn stealing smaller chickens. So now I have very large runs with poultry fence on top. It was very expensive if you count the labor to be honest. It took 3 large rolls of wire and a bunch of two by fours. I haven't lost a chicken since.

13 main coop that egg came in at a whopping 5 oz's largest I had
myself

142 grams!!!! That is HUGE!!! I thought Zorra's 116g egg a few years ago was beyond ridiculous.
