How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Only 2/3 today - although not been back out this afternoon (pouring again here!)
The deflated balloon ones always seemed to have really thin shells.
Yep that one did too - seemed fine though - just used it in my middle sons birthday cake!
I even got this once :eek:
That is pretty freaky :eek::sick:sick
gotta remember how eggs are made and layed I will not post those pictures as they are
quite graphic
I kind of want to see but kind of glad you didn't post pics as I was eating dinner last night when I read this :lau

Just been down there and there is another so 3/3 - another one of the slightly white / rough feeling with the 'normal' patch on it. Again laid in the run - which only happens with this egg 'fault' - seems very odd! Does anyone else find that strange? is it maybe going through her too quickly and not getting all the layers added then shooting out the end before she can get to the nest??? :lol:

I she real young or just flighty might check to see if she is getting food I have my oyster in a large bucket on it's side when I refill they actually come over for the treat

Same here been pouring rain every hour then tapered, then again since yesterday afternoon. So glad the chicken run are roofed and remain dry what a big difference from couple of years ago when we only have half covered the entire run get muddy including the eggs sometimes.

She isn't flighty at all but yes very young - maybe 6 months old now - only been laying about a month or so. They do have free choice oystershell but I must admit I'm not sure how much they are having of it - I may try serving it in a more enticing way :lol:
Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
Thank you - to you to - although we have another couple of weeks here - it is so confusing - in the UK it is in March (my MIL lives there) and Oz (my mum) is the same as you and then here in France we are late May :lau
Thanks but no thanks! Am a dad LOL!!!:lau
Ahhhh don't worry about it ;)- some of you have to be or we wouldn't get to be mums :lau:lau:lau

I looked forward to be all set up but glad I am living and learning a bit first as things keep changing, both our chickens needs, my knowledge and what I want to do! I'll be making sure I have a good undercover bit that is for sure! Due to pour all day tomorrow too - great for the garden not for the chooks!
