I got 9 from the main coop 2 Silky land 2 are broody picking up a dozen black copper marans eggs tomorrow from Eastern Washington state

I had 15/16 yesterday and 15/16 today! Also... welcome our new babes. They’re a bit younger than I thought. Or underdeveloped.

Yep, for 4 broodies too late they have their 2 chicks each hatched, but for 2 the ones that just started I’d been kicking them out of nests.

Yep down for the count on those 4. I had a broody raise chicks I got from Meyer. She took care of them for almost 2 months exactly, laid an egg and then wanted nothing to do with the chicks.

Another 15/16 today. I have one thinking about going broody. I’ve caught her in the nest boxes two nights in a row and kick her out. I haven’t seen an egg from her in a couple days! She’s keeping me from my perfect 16/16. Ugh!!! I just got my other bantam laying again.

Tell her that her pay depends on her performance, that ought to get her out of being broody

22 Eggs Yesterday, and a dead 2 year old EE in the run early morning, heart attack? She was as healthy as can be few days ago.

I'm still here just super busy and exhausted - my MIL is here so extra busy and lots of kids stuff going on too!

One of my silkies started laying again today so 3/3 so not sure what happens now with the chicks though! anyone? Do I try to put them in the big coop? I've been doing some intergration but my 2 big girls are a bit mean to the little ones. I'm actually tempted to move the 2 bigs to the small coop and move all the babies and the 2 silkies in the big coop. Need to decide I guess over the next couple of days!
