So when I checked this evening there was 2 eggs (could have been from later in the morning - forgot earlier) and then for some reason I opened the coop at lock down and there was another (warm) so a 3/3 day. A bit freaked out by my crazy laying silkie - this goes against everything I have read - can't remember the last day she didn't lay!

Don't complain if you like the little eggs .. I get 4 a day from mine with no peeps and they are growing fast almost bigger than the Silky right now...
mine have given me 7 already not sure of more today

I do! My 3 year old usually chooses to have one of those as his breakfast and I like that the yolk is just as big (or bigger!) than the regular size eggs - and I love my yolk!

You clearly need to do better data collection so you can do data analysis on your hens' productivity!

I got 2 chickens and 2 ducks that just started laying. Today only one egg. I cracked open 7 duck eggs today and they were all double yolkers, so one duck is making up for the slacking of the other...

Young layers will have double yokers enjoy them while you can ..
We had 12 but need to check the yard again filled the main coop pretty well now
the barred should be laying need to make sure the old gals are letting them
