How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

But I don’t mind carrying (4 waterers) 11.37 liters each to and pro.
I carry water in 2.5 gallon Cat's Pride cat litter plastic jugs. Screw on cap, easy to carry. One jug tops of the water for the 19 hens and 2 alpacas each morning.

Really should see about getting a step or two in there!
Yeah you should, I don't want to hear you can't post because you are in traction!

It's so good, you have it MEMORIZED! :drool

It was given by an Amish friend to my wife, we live an hour or so to an Amish community.

Ingredients
12 large eggs (2-3 wk old) hard boiled/peeled
8 medium fresh red beets
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 cups vinegar (we used apple cider vinegar)
3 cups water
2 tsp salt
2 tsp whole cloves
2 tsp whole allspice
2 cinnamon sticks
1 medium onion (quartered)

Combine and boil everything except the eggs, onion and beets.
Simmer for 10 min. Remove from heat and cool.

Boil the wash fresh beets for 15-20 min. Drain, peel and cut.
Arrange beets, onions and eggs in a jar then pour the set aside liquid in. Cover and cool.
Refrigerate for 2-3 wks before use for better flavor.

We sometimes add fresh garlic and green pepper.

What we do for our chickens huh! Last night @10 pm, I had to physically carry in 20 young pullets w/ 3 roos that’s never been in the coop @night (they’d been perching 5’ high in 2 eight feet perches in the run since they were 6 wks old) to mix in with rest of the flock in the coop, cause of the temp drop to -4 and shut the pop door for the first time this year and let them out 7am this morning. Luckily tonite the low will be only 29* so I let them be and pop door is open again all night.

@Spartan22 hope it might be alright to share your pickling recipe
I have 7 today but gave three to my 2 broody silky easier than breaking them or

Thank you SO much! :D I'll make up a batch next week...since it'll take me some time to stash away that many eggs. *wink* @ @Spartan22
