How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I know it will be a shock to the system! I also need to decide if I can manage the 3 hour drive home after the 2nd day of training (probably not finishing until 5 or 6) or if I should stay and come home the following morning.

You’re body will tell you so does your tired head, I do a lot of traveling but am used to it. So be very careful, make sure your alert and can react safely to anything while driving.

I think I'll leave it open and see how I'm doing - if I'm all excited and buzzing then I'll be fine but there is the option that I'll be brain dead and exhausted! Traditionally I've been used to doing a lot of driving but now my runs are much shorter (1/2 hour to nearest towns so generally that is about all I do in a day) so will need to get used to it again as I'll be on the road a lot in April / May. The run back after training is all empty motorway as well so not sure if that will be a help or hindrance!

1st time ever 11 eggs :ya:ya:yanearly a full dozen! Now Matilda is gone I only have 12 layers (counting the silkies lol!) so 11/12 is pretty amazing! AND one of them was insanely big (although now worrying about laying issues as I'm sure it was Matilda that was doing the huge eggs last year) - it was 110gm :eek::eek:

9 from 18 today, Mint (Exchequer Leghorn) finally laid another egg. Her second this year, last egg was Feb 18th. Her 'sister' Oreo STILL hasn't laid this year. Not impressed with the breed.

it was 110gm
Ouch!

:frowThanks for asking Kris, I don't start until the 1st of April
I hope no one pulls any April Fools jokes on you!

I should have just shut up instead of saying “what do you care, you don’t take care of them anyways”
:lau:gig
How long have you been married and you actually DID say that?
:barnie
Are they at least being brooded with a Mama Heating Pad cave? SO much quieter than with a 24x7 heat lamp.

Also have a lovely new Filofax to replace my tatty looking bullet journal so getting organised!
I think you need to get into the current age Poule, everyone uses electronics now!

Drink a cup (the small one) of French coffee and you'll be awake for hours!

:barnie Yepper, married almost 9 yrs. I got no filter when speaking sometimes, reason I have to sanitize my sentences when writing or ignore all together or I’ll be in trouble all the time. Inherited that virtue  from my lawyer dad

Nope I haven’t jump into the bandwagon yet since I was pretty successful brooding under heat lamp with thermometers and I guess not knowing what am missing. They are actually quiet, it just that I was transferring them to another box on top of the dryer. I was threatening to invent a see-thru mama heat pad but too busy.
