I was actually surprised by the days with 11! There are 16 of laying age, one 7 Y/O isn't laying any more, another 7 Y/O is busy raising the 8 now 9 week old chicks from Meyer. So 11 from 14 potential girls (2 are 7 Y/O, 4 are 5 Y/O) is pretty good.

It’s very good! It’s fun when the stars align and they all lay the same day. Or all but 1 it 2 I’ve had that several days - yahoo!

I think that only ONE time in the 7 years I've had chickens did they all lay on the same day. IIRC there were 12 at the time.

Of the third tribe of marans none old enough to lay but also know about 4 of them are cockerel need to weed them out let them grow up and get them to auction

10 eggs so far today. Butchered an extra rooster today. I need to decide which chickens I will take to my son. He wants 3 established layers and 3 of the "older" chicks.

I have 7 from big girls and 1 silky still laying may be more from main coop

Only 9 today

Another hen went broody today. And I may have a 3rd as well. She went in to the nest box late, was in there a good amount of time but didn’t lay before I pulled her out as I had to close the next boxes up so I could put the broodies on the roost boards.

6 from the main coop my oldest are laying every other day.. just 1 in silky from Mud again
