How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

6 eggs today but I put 1 in my coat pocket this morning and then forgot a bout it.
My coat is in the washer now. :lau

your not tired huh d2mad_saya_mage2.gif

7 eggs today. 1 blue and 1 leghorn along with the 5 browns. Sigh....

why oh why why didn’t I just take no for an answer when hubby said he didn’t like pumpkin seeds?! No, I had to make them anyway. He loves all 3 of the seasonings I made. So last night and tonight I am cleaning out seeds as fast as I can. And will continue to do so until I run out of time or pumpkins. I’m just throwing the pumpkins into the 3 compost bins. I’ll give some to the cows in the morning.

What are the 3 seasoning combinations that you made? I want to try some because my hubby likes seasonings and condiments :lau so I figure he might like some different spice choices on the pumpkin seeds.

I got them from Taste of Home website. I like their recipes overall. Here are the screenshots I took of the recipes I used. I give notes at the end of each recipe.

These are indeed spicy. I think they were called Fire something. What I did: I combined all Spices in bowl them stirred in the pumpkin seeds. Seemed clumpy to me so I added 1/2 tbls melted butter. Next batch I will do what the recipe says and sprinkle the spices over the seeds wetted by the hot sauce. I finished off the baking at 350 for 5 minutes to super dry and crisp the seasoned seeds.

These are indeed garlicky. I used melted butter instead of oil. I baked as I did the fire seeds. I have not tried the microwave method yet. Reviews did say they came out crispy.

I have to find the 3rd recipe. I’ll post it shortly.

Here it is. I followed the recipe exactly. This was the first one I made that started the whole pumpkin seed craze - lol! They have a mild spice. I like them and I do not like spicy foods generally. Sometimes you get a seed with a bit more kick but it’s very tolerable.

I baked them the same as the others. 250 degree oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. At 45 minutes stir and up temp to 350 for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Store in airtight container for the 7 minutes they’ll last - lol!
