Went and collected 9 eggs this morning, 2 blue (one from each pullet) and 7 light tan. They are getting super light more cream looking than tan. I didn’t get around to the eggs yesterday, I’m sure there will be more in there later today. I’ll update if so.

Had some help collecting 3 more eggs before closing up the coop

That makes a total count of a dozen eggs in 2 days. I missed out on 1 more blue one to make it an even 4 out of the two pullets. I wonder who of the silkie crosses laid eggs these past 2 days. They all look so similar except the few pinkish eggs I’ve been getting here and there 1 blue, 1 tan/cream, and 1 pinkish tan. I think the more pink looking ones are from the two frizzles. That’s who was in the nest the pink egg was in earlier when I changed their water.

I got a solid 6 today. The old gals and pullets split the workload, three from each.

She only eats eggs if you stand there and make her I dropped two on the floor the other night when moving the older eggs around and she just looked at me with a “so what are you going to do about that mess now?” Darn dog! She begrudgingly licks up the insides after you tell her to a few times thankfully

Absolutely LOVES when I mix an egg in with her supper though
