Zero eggs, the same as the last two months. I dont mind letting their bodies rest in the winter, but I've never had all of my birds completely shut down for weeks on end. They'll likely start up again in mid-February, so I'm not going to stress about it.

Northern Cal, no lights, they're done with molting. I'm not trying for winter eggs, but this is the first year that they all stopped completely. Usually they've laid *some*. This year they're not even trying to earn their keep.

9 eggs today! Would’ve been 10, but the war between buff Cochin Sunshine and black copper Marans Pella continues, with 1 messy...uh, casualty today: Sunshine’s egg. Usually it’s Pella’s that gets broken, but Sunshine only pecks a hole in the top. Pella annihilated Sunshine’s egg today! Sticky mess. It’s a teen broody fight, frankly they are both too young and it’s too cold yet anyway. Brats.
