Ah okay, I couldn’t see the pattern too well but I have an EE that looks similar to her, similar color and lacing and stuff.

I have a White Leghorn pullet and she’s amazing!! I definitely love Leghorns now.

And they are all so handsome!!! you sure have a lot of cockerels! Haha

I have 50+ hens, pullets, cockerels, and a roo!!! I need to have several boys to protect the flock. If a boy is too aggressive with the ladies I have backups and can send him to freezer camp.

Oh wow that is a lot of chickens!! That makes perfect sense though!! I only have 20 currently. Well, 19 now actually since I lost a cockerel the other day. I was thinking of keeping one of the boys but, of course, the one I wanted to keep was killed so now idk. I might keep the Easter Egger cockerel. I only have 11 hens and pullets and maybe 1 or 2 more in this batch of chicks so I can’t keep too many roosters. Don’t know if I can even keep any with as close as the neighbors are back there but we will see.

I’ve been averaging 5 eggs from 7 hens, lately. Laying dropped to one per week before Christmas, by a week after New Years it was as though a switch got flipped, back to laying. Yes the days are getting longer, but only by about a minute per day. Didn’t expect such a fast increase.

Another from the Marans yesterday! Her first two. And this one is speckled! Everyone else in her pen is an EE, so it has to be hers.

@tn_artist , very nice! Gotta love Marans eggs, they’re just so beautiful! Someday I hope my feather babies will give me Jersey Giant/Marans babies that lay dark too. Hoping and praying!

I love my BCM, they come running anytime I'm outside! Some of their eggs look pink because, I've got one whose bloom is so heavy it makes the eggs look pink when it is dry, and super brown when wet!

One of my FBCM just did the same thing today. It’s the center one of the three dark brown eggs one the right side of the pic. The cool thing is when the egg is wet it is dark brown with speckles like a Welsummer egg. When it dries the purple hue returns and the speckles mostly disappear.
