got 11/19 today,another bitter cold windy day in Lenoir today

I got 5 eggs from 6 hens.

I got 6 out of 9 today. I also brought home two baby chicks a friend hatched for me in her incubator. They're almost a week old.

5/21 but 10 are pullets and just starting. Spring is in the air since they had stopped laying for a couple of weeks.

4/7 today - But who can blame them? That's a 4' piece of plywood on the side of the run! I hope the snow stops or my girls are in trouble!!!

25/35 the most for one day this year, one of my youngins' laid her first egg today also, now just 4 more to go and all 35 will be in production.

although I first counted 10 chickens and then collected 5 eggs. I told them that they were slacking coz I only get half as many eggs as chickens!

3 of the pullets just haven't matured yet is all and the 2 roos are off the hook lol
