Do you offer oyster shell free choice ? Or a broody laying again for the first time
I have oyster for the birds always

Yes , I do offer oyster shell free choice outside of their Layena in the feeder . She is a pullet that started laying beginning of February so I am hoping it's just a glitch in her egg maker that will sort itself . She was a little slow this morn and did not eat but she was fine this afternoon , out scratching with the others , eating and drinking .

Think you have that figured out pretty good then I have a blue marans pullet hers started pretty tiny they rival any of my big eggs now

When I had 3rd degree burns way back when I was 18 years old, the hospital made us eat raw eggs to help our skin grow back. We liked them blended into milkshakes!!

We often had "eggnog" for breakfast when I was in high school. Nothing fancy, just cracked the raw egg into the milk in the blender and ran it. I don't remember if we put anything else in or not (it was a LONG time ago).

17 today, a new record. I think not only this year but ever. Of course I've not had 23 potential layers before either.

62 eggs today from 63 hens.
My broody girl is still missing. My grandkids said they saw her in the yard with the others today, but she wasn't in the coop when I did my nightly head count.

I have 2 from #2 coop so 10 from the main coops silky hard to tell the ameracauna peeps are all under the broody skirts she is on the eggs letting them be there also

5 today so far. The pullet that's been laying the softies hasn't layed yet and no softie from her last night , she seems to her normal active self again . Hopefully in a day or so she'll be laying good hard shell eggs again .
