How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

4/8 today. The rain is supposed to clear up after today, and only another month until the pullets should start laying, so hopefully we’ll be getting more soon.

I only got 13 eggs. One of the broody hens switched nest boxes this evening. 1 of the eggs in her previous box was rotten, 2 others had nothing (maybe just laid recently) and 1 had a chick which was cold and dead.
I kicked her off of the new nest box and took those eggs. I may have to try to get her to adopt a chick or 2 if she goes back to trying to be broody. At least she has been on the nest long enough this time to where she hopefully would accept a chick or 2. We will see.

3 out of 8. We’re going to worm them this weekend, so hopefully production starts to go back up after that.

Change that to 13, there was a large shell-less egg on the ground outside the barn when I went to close up I have no idea who laid it. I would guess Mellori since she's laying really thin shelled eggs again but she laid today ... and the thin shell got a contact "crunch". Not selling that one.
