I give eggs to all my friends and family, I eat LOTS, and I sell all the rest.

I have 17 laying now and got 14 eggs today. Someone needs to tell this pullet that she is a White Leghorn and not a quail.

UPDATE!!
I’m going to say I now have 19 laying and I got 15 today. I got another little dark brown egg with hundreds of tiny specs on it. My Marans have never laid an egg like that and I got two of those tiny ones today.

I don't have Marans but my 2 Wellies sometimes really put the spots on. So does one of the Barred Rocks.

Change mine to 13, I found a late egg at coop closing time.

My Marans eggs are about 4 on the color scale, again, this phone doesn’t ever get the color right. These little Wellie eggs are about the same color. What size eggs do your Wellies lay? I assume your birds are older than mine. I’m curious as to what to expect in size after mine have matured.

One of mine is 3 and the other is 2. The older one (Veronica) lays a very dark egg, Maran worthy! usually USDA XL. Betty doesn't lay as dark and is USDA Large.

Betty just got out of the broody buster for the second time this year, took nearly 2 weeks and she LIED to me 3 times when I asked if she was over it. She talked REAL nice, NO broody clucks, screams or flares but then there she was back in the nest box instead of on the roost at night
