How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Those are so pretty! I got 1 extra small bantam egg today. Waiting on the other 13 layers (9 full sized/4 bantams) to start laying.

Thank you...my girls do a good job! That's a good number of hens, you should have plenty of eggs soon! Bantam eggs are perfect when you need half of an egg!

ooh, I never thought of needing half an egg. I've been enjoying my 2 egg breakfast every other morning.

The very first time one of mine laid, we hadn’t checked in four days and there were 4 eggs! This was almost a year ago! She has since passed on

I currently have 2 full time layers, one almost-5-month who has given us about 5 we think in the last 2 months. She started really early(Sapphire Gem). Another almost 5 month EE who we are patiently waiting to lay! First pic is my 2 layers eggs and second is the younger one’s egg. They haven’t been laying much lately and we had to BUY eggs the other day! Waaaahhhh

It's getting to be that time of year! I'm thinking about putting some of mine in the freeze and seeing how well that works!
