I'm just curious, what is the most eggs you have had at one time before selling them? We only have 27 of our 29 laying right now. This spring we will have around 65 laying.

I have a friend that buys in 400 chickens at a time. You can imagine how many eggs he gets through

I'm not sure... In the past I've actually tossed out eggs because I didn't sell them and they were old, or I didn't know what day they were from. With selling eggs there are weeks that I don't have many eggs available, because so many are being sold, and then there are weeks where I've got lots of eggs piling up. Marketing on Facebook is helping this week, thankfully. Sometimes I'm lazy, and don't market them, and eggs end up getting old.

We have them pile up sometimes too. Thankfully, most of them get gone within the week! I think the most we had at once was 19 dozen. With the help of family we sold them all in 2 days. We haven't done any marketing on social media. Normally just word of mouth sales. LOL

For me about a dozen surplus or so when I have 2 hens laying. My neighbor will buy eggs when I have them. I tell her I don't want money but she slips me a ten every so often, averageing out about $6 a dozen. What the heck, it pays for their feed.
