How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

11 eggs yesterday, 8 the night before that. Haven't checked today yet.

Despite chills, rain, hail and dark clouds in Oregon, all 6 of our large breeds are back to laying almost daily, so 4-6 a day. We will have a LOT when thr littles start producing this summer!

One lone egg out of 10 layers. They were laying great during the worst of the artic vortex and now that we are coming out of it, they have laid only a couple a day.

Are they older, or free rangers? I think a hidden nest or 2!

So, I’m not positive how many today. I’m thinking around 10. I’ve been watching babies hatch in my incubator and shuffling eggs under a new broody! I’m testing her for a day or so before committing a large clutch. I gave her some fake eggs with one real one.

3 for 4 today. One of the girls must have spent 3 or 4 hours in the nesting box today. I was wondering if she was getting broody until she finally left later and I seen a very large egg in there that was more barrel shaped i'd call it. No wonder it took so long, she probably had to learn deep breathing exercises to push that one through! Bet she takes a break tomorrow though.
