9 today, and I managed to not drop them all this time. I cooked up all the broken ones from yesterday for the girls this morning.

7 again. I gave in and let my broody have some eggs. I’m a sucker for a soft, black chicken I guess.

7 today. Betsy the Ameraucana spent some time in broody jail again today. Betsy and my OE Millie have been in and out of broodiness all spring and I am SOOOO over it.

I may regret it but I just don’t have the heart to put her in jail. Luca spent 2 days in jail last summer and she’s by far the most broody in my bunch. I’m gonna give her the chance she’s been begging for.

I hate putting them in jail but they're so mean to the other girls! They screech and scare everyone else away from the boxes. I don't even have any roosters so it isn't like they're doing anything useful in there.

And one of the chickens (a silkie of course) is broody and had to be put in broody jail.
