i got 9 eggs today out of 10 hens that should be laying at this time woohooo.

1 from 3 layers, 1 silkie polish mix, and 5 soon to be four baby chicks.

Yesterday got 8. My husband had to play rooster and escort 3 hens to their nests to lay then go get them when they sang lol. He was determined no overnight laying on his watch.

24 so far - including three duck eggs. There are also two active nests, which the ducks will - no doubt - abandon before they produce any offspring. We won't discuss just how many eggs sit in those two nests.

Also - butts in seats. It matters.
