How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Just in case anyone is curious, that’s out of 18 layers as of right now.

New high of 11 today! Still waiting for a blue egg…

And does anyone else have Mystic Onyx/Rustic Rambler? I don’t think they are very bright…they lay on the floor (never in any of the boxes and I even made a box on the floor in case they just don’t like laying up high…one day they actually laid an egg in the muddy run,

I don't have that breed but I have two picky layers. I have one RIR that will not lay if eggs are in "her" nesting area. She waits for me late morning watches me remove the other eggs and she jumps up and sits. The other is my OE she will not wait her turn or join another to lay. If she needs to and the nests have someone else in it she will squat where she stands.. inside, outside, on the ground it don't matter.

We only had 4 boxes for our flock of 24, but then added 3 more. Idk lol. They all like 2 of them and rarely use the other 5!

I have 5 nest boxes for 15. Only 2 are ever used. They are all the same not sure why they refuse to use the the others. The minds of chickens lol.

Can you slip a hand warmer pouch in the nest. I put straw on top haven't had any issues. They don't seem to notice it and they haven't moved it.
