How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I have 2 nest boxes, 2 open crates and one of those plastic ones you screw into the wall "little giant?". They use all boxes, specifically in pairs, except the plastic one is only used in emergencies lol. However, the Wyandottes hate when the reds are in their crate and they will NOT use any other. So they honk and honk and peck and if no avail, they give up. So recently I've been noticing they will lay eggs outside in the yard. I have found quite a few of their eggs frozen and have seen the girls eating others. I have no idea how to correct this.

I got one yesterday havent looked today... I mean prolly will be either one or none as my sexlink is taking a break so is my lavender split wyandotte she was dumping them out everyday since she started

how long does the hand warmer last?

I have the small ones they last 9hrs . My hens share the same nest so they keep them warm taking turns also. I pop one in are 9 am . When I go back about in around 4pm I collect everything including the pouches. I do slide it completely under the straw and do my best not to mess around to much so they can't see it or want to route around in there and dig it up.

6 today. My speckled sussex Rosa still hasn't laid but hubby says she widened up and has a little waddle in her walk now. I guess that means she might start laying soon. We shall see...
