6 OUTTA 9 BABY well no because 3 are 5 weeks. Just 2 from one layer and one I forgot

Seems we have 14 from big girls and 2 from 5 banty.

16 today. Seems that is the new “low day” total from our 24 new layers.

I can finally say that our flock is a decent enough size that we are finally getting a "steady" number of eggs, even the young ones have started laying and they finally came out of their winter molting. So we are now getting about 6-7 eggs daily.

7 eggs today. Out of 8 laying, thats a great number.

I have 11 tonight the girls are all a bit worried.
I lost 3 birds to the neighbors dog, One bird was in the yard hunkered down .. I found her brought her in the coop first I set her on a table she wobbled almost off it. Picked her up again, set her on the floor .. She knows me so did not fright or scare from me.
May loose one more before the night is over.
Smudge my rooster is tailless and lost a bit of his dignity.
He fought he good.
