I can't believe my baby Penushka laid an egg right before my eyes today! Her first egg at 4 1/2 months old, we thought for sure she wouldnt lay til summer. Her and Pepper were just staring at it LOL I was hoping she would lay blue or green eggs, maybe their babies will. I'm just happy all my females are now laying

we have 4 chickens and we got 2 and a half eggs to day lol not sure but all of a sudden we are getting these little tiny eggs. our chickens are all under 1 year old so i'm sure they are still working things out....

This morning I got a tiny egg! Like small. Rest have been what I would say we're medium. I guess this is from the new layer and she's just getting cranked up. Sadly, it was also cracked so I brought it in and cooked it up and fed it back to them along with the crushed shell. They loved it! I also stopped at the local bait store and got a tub of worms which they enjoyed fighting over! Just trying to provide as much protein as I can for them in hops it will prompt the others to start laying.
