Just got 1 from my two cochin hens that don't lay that often. I'm hoping one of them will go broody soon. They have three eggs now.

18 from our 19 Gold Comets today! Worked on the coop all day getting ready for the next 11 GC's we're getting next Saturday from Shooks Poultry in Claremont, NC. I added a big nesting box off to one side of the coop and extended the roosting bars all the way across so now there'll be plenty of room once we put the new ones in with the Gals.

7/8 today. We have been getting ready for a big party in our backyard for the last week and I was worried all the commotion would disrupt the girls. We put the sound system on outside and at first they seemed to hide from it but then they got used to it and were acting normal by today when the party commenced. We had a "hen party" in the back yard with the hens!
