How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

2 today. There are a lot of feathers in the run today though.

6 nice ones today, but one was a little light colored for some reason.

I've been thinking about downsizing my flock by a couple birds lately. I like being able to give my neighbors eggs, but I sure wouldn't mind cutting down the feed costs.

Eight. Four would be about right for me. When I bought the chicks this spring I was buying that many for "insurance". Figured it was possible I'd lose a couple as they were growing up. But no, they all survived and are healthy!

4 would definitely be cheaper to feed. Have you considered selling extra eggs?

If I was still in the market for some birds I’d be inquiring about it for sure! I saw a weather related post from you recently and you’re only 2 towns north of me.

I have 8 birds. They are all just at 5 months old. I got one egg today.

I have got 3 eggs over the last 4 days all from the same bird (my only green egg layer)

She laid a soft one, took a day off and laid one yesterday and today.

Ready for this batch of hens to start laying.

If I was still in the market for some birds I’d be inquiring about it for sure! I saw a weather related post from you recently and you’re only 2 towns north of me.

I have 8 birds. They are all just at 5 months old. I got one egg today.

I have got 3 eggs over the last 4 days all from the same bird (my only green egg layer)

She laid a soft one, took a day off and laid one yesterday and today.

Ready for this batch of hens to start laying.

They'll start laying more soon, I'm sure. At only 5 months old they're just growing out of being teenagers.

Thought about it, but I don't know if I want to be selling only one or two dozen a week. It's easier to give them away and keep the neighbors happy.

But I would kind of hate breaking up the flock, They have a pretty good, established order in place now, and if I sold a few of them, it might throw them into chaos. Haha
