3 today! My girls are so good to me

I got 2 today. I cooked 24 as deviled eggs this morning and 9 for pumpkin rolls yesterday afternoon. Egg supplies are getting low. I have about a dozen in the fridge. I might have to get into the 6 dozen I water glassed a few months ago.

11 today possibly 12 I didn’t want to disturb the hen in the nest box when I was gathering the eggs this evening.

4 again today! Woot! Thats almost a dozen in three days! (Of course, we eat more of them since they are so much smaller…but pullet eggs taste just as good!)

Today I collected 2 eggs from my 10 layers.
From Oct 20th to Nov 27th I got 0 eggs. Nada. Nil. Zilch. It was a rough molt. November 28th - Dec 4th 1 hen started laying, 5 eggs in 1 week. (Go Annie!) Dec 5th - 12th Maggie joined in and the 2 hens laid a total of 12 eggs in 8 days. December 13th Tawny started laying and I got 3 eggs! Woohoo!

I've been getting one every day until this week. I started getting two, but today I got one. I'm happy with that!

I started cleaning out the nest boxes this morning quick glance thought they were all empty. I hear soft hen chatter and suddenly Annie pops her head out the open top and looks at me confused! Oops! Sorry Annie, I'll come back later

I did a similar thing yesterday lol. I use milk crates that can be removed from the outside of the coop. Pulled the first one out, no eggs. Moved to the second one, empty as well. When I tugged on the last one it felt heavy. Then I heard a squak and whole lot of wing flapping. Sorry Lacey, didn’t see you there.

Yes about the same thing happened to me one of my Hens I hatched out last winter was in the end nest hidden till I looked twice. I slowly went out of the Barn I hate disturbing them.
