Ended up w 2 more eggs, one looks to be a new pullet egg, it was green! So 7 eggs plus a broken one, best day of laying yet!

3 today! It snowed briefly (~ 30 seconds) today, and then rained the rest of it. First snow of the season!

14 today, almost stepped on a blue one again on the floor in the Hen House doorway.

I've only gotten eggs that huge twice, and both times it was an egg, inside another egg. You gotta let us know when you crack that one open

Here it is! I put it next to the tiny cream egg my Naked Neck pullet lays. it was hard to see in the light so hopefully that helped!

2 eggs today. One was just outside the nesting box on the ground which is concerning. It had a small crack in it. The other I actually believe came from our girl Rosemary. I caught her sitting in the nesting box. She still hasnt regrown her feathers fully though so I'm confused XD

We had 11 over 2 days. I didn’t want to bother the girls last evening when I fed and watered them. Tonight, I just reached in quickly. I heard some soft chirping, even long after their bedtime. Can’t wait till tomorrow when I can hold them and give them some love!

Yep - I have quite a few (8) lawn ornaments here, they wander around looking pretty and eating - I figure they earned it though.

"Lawn ornaments"! [Glad I'd just swallowed my tea...] Great that they have a nice retirement with you!

We're back up to 6 eggs today after yesterday's mere two from my 8 pullets; Elsie did indeed lay her green egg sometime after I checked yesterday, just wanted her privacy. So, all three Rainbow Girls, the Buff Orp (her fluff-feather was stuck to it) and I think (?) the Barred Rock and Delaware.

I fed them a scramble of their older eggs as a treat this afternoon, 1 egg per girl seemed fair; it was VERY popular.

I got 4 yesterday.
Oh, yeah and a very broody 8 month old pullet. Silly girl wants to raise babies in January! Moved her to the roost last night while she fluffed up and said some very choice words.
