How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Here it is! I put it next to the tiny cream egg my Naked Neck pullet lays. it was hard to see in the light so hopefully that helped!

Oh lovely minty green so pretty! Isn’t it wonderful how they can lay so many different colours 💕

We had 11 over 2 days. I didn’t want to bother the girls last evening when I fed and watered them. Tonight, I just reached in quickly. I heard some soft chirping, even long after their bedtime. Can’t wait till tomorrow when I can hold them and give them some love!❤️
I found two blue eggs in the Summer House, I guess I slept in and they couldn’t hold it! That’s ok the flooring is soft shavings and it’s not -20 yet. So the eggs were fine, but I almost stepped on them 😁

I have been trying to play with my chicks they are 5 weeks old now and growing like weeds only thing is they can move way faster then me. I think it’s a game to them, they wait till I am about an inch from them and they bolt away about 3 feet. Hahaha then stop and look at me - brats!

So far today I have 7 eggs - most are blue or green.

I got 4 yesterday.
Oh, yeah and a very broody 8 month old pullet. Silly girl wants to raise babies in January! Moved her to the roost last night while she fluffed up and said some very choice words. :gig
I gave in to my satin silkie couple months ago and let her have two eggs. I now have 2 lovely 1/2 polishxsilkie chicks - Bert and Betty 😊
Thankfully it’s been really mild, and there is always a nice stall to cuddle in some straw.

Betty is the frizzle snuggled in the straw.

I was wondering how having chicks in winter in Canada would be…they are adorable! Do you keep them indoors all the time weather permitting?

What breeds give you so many blue & geeen eggs?
