10 today. Hubby has egg collecting, chicken tending duties the past couple of days as I have been under the weather. He assures me that the ladies are fine and that they appreciate the meal worms.

Cook them and feed the eggs to the chickens. They love getting some extra protein now and then.

So far I only got 1. I'm hoping Darlin isn't being a little stinker and laying on top of the coop again.

Another perfect day of 7 out of 7! But I accidentally crushed the seventh egg in my hand when I was scraping chicken dung from the front porch steps with my garden hoe.


I hung half a head of cabbage from a string for the girls to munch on as a job-well-done treat.

The girl that was limping yesterday seems to be more sure on her feet today. I think she just strained or sprained something.
