How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Bakers Dozen today (13) eggs. These girls are making crazy with there laying habits although I was working around the hen house and barn yesterday and the day before might had something to do with it me interrupting them.

2 today. Sis grabbed the eggs when she let everyone out this afternoon, and she said Goldi is now laying on the eggs. Ugh…two broody hens I do not need!

8 seems to be our ladies number. 8 out of 12 again. A whopping 198 for the month of March, and it ain’t quite over yet!

We usually get about 75% of however many hens we have. At the moment we have 26 hens and are getting about 18 per day. A few are still young though and havent started laying yet.

Welp..maybe Goldi isn’t broody after all…found this Goldi egg under Jade this morning. Perhaps Goldi was laying an egg and Sis just thought she was sittin on the others.

All 3 today! Août in the morning, Juillet early afternoon, and Juin at early evening.

The girls got some sprouted lentils as a treat mixed with a little corn. It was a good day

One girl needed a day off, so there were 6 eggs in the box for me today. I made some coleslaw for me, and gave the girls trimmings from the red cabbage head.
