5. I finally got a broody hen, aaaand we had to take the eggs because of bad weather. Probably have to wait a little while longer, because Ohio is Ohio.

But I think I might have some chicks growing in the quail eggs! (My current incubator project )

2 as of now…both the Golden Comets have laid their eggs. Jade was half sitting on one but the other was a few inches away on the nest box. Progresss perhaps for her broodiness? Photobomb by Bossy.

2 from my EEs, Juin and Août. The eggs were beige and brown though… isn’t that just typical!







I mean, they’re lovely and I’m grateful, but I’m just saying… blue/green eggs would’ve been nice!

Well, one of the girls dropped what I guess is a 2-day egg this afternoon. Long, big, and weighed 97 grams. Poor girl!

So 6 eggs total for today.
