I swear Chocolate lays nearly every day, and Toffee too.

Dang Hoover's Hatchery making some crazy production breeds out of their mixes. (They supply my local TSC) Before I knew, I don't think I would have got any -- hear tell they 'wear out' and die sooner than breeds that lay less. I love my girls man, I want them to have chill, happy lives.

This morning is donation day! So we collect 4 and a half dozen eggs right now a week, will be donating 4.

Not as much as I'd like, honestly -- but helping to feed 4 people a week I guess is pretty dang good.

I have a bunch of Hoover chicks (hens) here. This year I got 3 buff Orps a lavender Orp and a few Americanas.

I also have a couple of pretty grey pullets with topknots that I am not all sure what they are.

This one of them - Patches - I am sure she is laying brown eggs…

One lone egg today. Last time that happened was when they first started laying, August of 2023.
