This is the first time I didn't get anything from the Bielefelders. I guess everyone is finally starting to slow down. They're also molting. If we have to buy eggs over the winter I'll seriously consider adding to the flock next spring.

Edit: got one Bielefelder egg in the afternoon!

I want a breed that lays even richer olive eggs -- is that just a crap shoot of luck?

I also cannot *wait* to see the potential cream color from Blanche, my Buff Orpington.

My three Buff Orps lay brown eggs.

For dark olive you can try to find a Marans crossed on a blue egg layer.

I have a pullet who is laying a very deep olive coloured egg, but I have yet to catch who it is. All I know is that it’s one of this year’s pullets from Hoovers.

It’s the one on the bottom left side, between that blue/green and pink eggs, it’s not showing it true colour but it’s a deep olive

The teeny egg in the middle is from my OEGB bantam pullet, her eggs a re a delightful pearly peach colour.

Now if I can only find if she is still laying and if so where!
