How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I would call for a family meeting........about the zero egg business...

No eggs for weeks for me, short days and molting will do that. I will need to buy again.

This is the time you pamper them and walk to the shop to buy eggs. I did that when they molt and especially many of them doing that at the same time. They seem to do that a lot, broody together, molting together.

I got 3 eggs yesterday and it was very difficult to get those from under the broody girls. Broody girls R egg thieves. I told them we are over populated in this little backyard, I love fluffy butt, but there will be a shortage of housing and yard if we have more fluffy butt.

Ideally I'll get at least 5 (I have around 15 hens that can lay eggs) but realistically I'll get 0, lol

Might be you would like to have a chat with your girls about... that big elephant in the room........ that big 0 egg

So that you know, I have many of those chats that go no where, but it is good that they understand I know what they are doing.

I got 9 last night and 7 today. Four brown, 3 blue. The supplemental light (two extra hours in the evening) seems to be helping!
