Yesterday I got 3. Hook@# Witch was in the box when I got those and I meant to get back out there but after going through the storage unit of my brother in law that passed earlier this year it was late so I will just count all from today as today's eggs.

Got 7. Now that my husband emptied the pools out we found 5 duck eggs. I'm at 12. I'm at 14 now.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Today… I got two eggs.
Yes, TWO. I am now officially a breakfast mogul.

Roo gifted me one last night (leghorns- I tell ya!)— apparently she’s on a double-shift 'egg a day makes doctor A happy each day'. And Gypsy, my dramatic junglefowl queen who took a week-long sabbatical sleeping in bushes, finally decided to grace the nest box with her presence and lay an egg like a productive member of society.

Nothing like feeding freeloaders every day, and then—finally—they get the memo:
“Oh right… we’re supposed to produce breakfast.”

Yeah for cream colour mini chicken eggs!


Edit: I only have two egg laying chickens- the rest are chicks, so Im 2 for 2. Woop!

Sleeping in the bushes?! Hope you don’t have too many predators there - mine would be racoon food - or froze hahaha!

6 eggs today.

A couple more hens are moulting - feathers everywhere. Sheesh! What a time to be moulting, crazy birds! Have a feeling the extremely hot dry summer and extraordinarily mild Autumn is to blame for their delayed moulting. It’s a bit mild next few days, but a cold shock is heading this way next week. Time to break out the heat lamps I guess.
