How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

@Knobby, if you are looking for a hen that lays more consistently the white leghorn does. My girl Penny is a white leghorn and she lays almost every day.
Thank you for the recommendation...I currently have a flock consisting of a few RIR, Barred Rocks, ISA Browns, Speckled Sussexes, Sapphire Gems, Jersey Giant, Australorp, Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, and a few other breeds. The next one I'd like to add are a few Copper Marans.

I answered a question for another person. My apologies for the confusion.

Wow, reading these posts is crazy. My girls are 2 1/2 yrs old. We started with 12 and are down to 9 as of last week, which is when I joined this site. We have always had 2 less eggs than we have chickens and it stands that way today. It seems as if you all have a wide variety of chicks, mine are all golden buffs. I live in northern Michigan and they are a great cold tolerant breed. We are looking to get a new flock this summer, I want to keep my old and introduce a new flock. Any advice.? Currently we have a 10x14 coop with an attached 10x10 fenced “dog pen” run with a roof. We’re thinking we can add on and introduce the younger ones with the existing flock in time. First time doing this so I am in need of suggestions.
I answered your question to another person. White leghorns are fairly consistent with egg laying.
