I only got 17 today

At first count...17. Then as I was walking up our steps to our house I see the clutch that some girls decided to leave in my flowerbed. So total is 24. I knew it was just a matter of time before they found a cozy spot other than the nest boxes. They're in lock-down tomorrow...little brats.

1/1 that is laying.

She's a machine! She lays every day between 9 a.m. and 12, then comes out and makes "the announcement". As soon as we hear "the announcement", one of us goes out to the henhouse--and sure enough, there it is, in the nesting box. I just wish her flockmates would get the idea.

9/19 got 15/19 yesterday hmmm guess less sunlight is working in now

Just curious, I am not sure. I have 7 hens, but only 6 are laying, I think. So today I received 4 eggs. Do you think that means my 6 hens are all laying. since I am not counting the 7 hen, since it is to young. Unsure of the 26 hour, how it works.
