9/13.... but I've been banging around in the coop, trying to get it ready for winter... Hopefully "done" this weekend. LOL... been saying that for months..
2/6 but one was a shell-less oops (good try, Molly!).
AliceAnn shines again this afternoon. 3 straight days for her.
Agatha, Edna and Mathilda showed interest in the nest box for the first time, today.
Gladys acts like she doesn't care if she never lays another egg in her life. I guess after 5 straight days, that seems fair!
Pullets become hens when they decide to, and that's all there is to it!
(still just too psyched to be a part of this thread!
2 / 6 My combs have gotten brighter. Not sure how many are laying. We went for a week / half of 1 every other day, to one every day for a few days, and the last 4/5 days we have gotten two everyday. Not sure if there are 3 laying or only two... patience hard to come by...
I am really struggling with this first flock of mine. Only 1 - 2 eggs a day from 7 hens. All of which are 7 months old or older. Shouldn't they all be laying well by now?
