8/14- I've gotten 23 so far this week. I keep track Sunday-Saturday.

The girls were 6 for 6 today.

This evening was bonus time. We've windbaffled under the hens' coop with straw bales, making an area that is dark and fairly unaccessible by us. Our son Steve double checked for stray hens under there tonight before shutting the pop door enclosing them inside the barn. He spied an egg on the straw under the coop, came in to ask me for help in removing part of the bale baffle, and discovered a stash of seventeen lovely green and brown eggs. We had noticed the lay count had dropped yesterday and today. Mystery solved~ ~G
