7/9 maybe we'll get 1 more before the day is out, its only 4:30 and i havent checked the boxes in a few hours... we got 8 yesterday

im happy either way!!

i just went out to close up and looked in their fave nest box (which happens to be a plastic storage bin?) and there was the olive egg! 1 of the BRs took the day off: 3 brown eggs, 1giant white, 1 olive, 1 mint green, 1 very light blue, and 1 light tan/pink? (game hen)

Only 1 of my 6 19wk old hens is laying, and she layed her first egg (my first egg ever

) this past Sunday. It seems as though she's on an every-other-day schedule... so, today's was our 3rd and boy was it tiny!

Got 12 eggs to day, from buuf and RIR. Then 10 from my Australorp.

23 again today from our 29 GC's!!! They got some greens from the garden today when I went out this morning and cut some collards for dinner. I chopped the outer leaves up pretty good and fed it to them when I let them out to free-range at dusk. Gone in 30 seconds like in the movie...
