8/14 yesterday. Looks like my two wyandottes are practicing!! All this week I keep fifding them in the nest. But not squatting yet

Another dozen in one day yesterday!! Go girls. Not all 25 laying yet, they're 5 months old n 3 different breeds. And our big girls turned a year old Monday!! They got special birthday treats n I sang happy bday to them.... poor girls. Lol

Ooooo..... How pretty! I am amazed at how many eggs six chickens can lay! I was worried when I got my six that they wouldn't lay enough for our family of seven. I consistently get 5 or 6 every day ! Most days -6! Yesterday and today I only got 5/6 though.

I have several days a week of only 4 (I have a senile old hen who has some strange eggs in strange places when she decides to lay). I'll be over the moon when my other two pullets start to lay. My EE looks close and is the same age as Sophia.
