How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Zero... all my girls are either starting, in the middle of or ending a molt.

I got 3 on Friday before I went out of town leaving my husband and 16 year old daughter in charge. They said they got 1 egg yesterday and when I got home today there were none! I think the decline is because the inside light was off the whole time so the hens were responding to the declining daylight. Or it may be because I let the 6 young chicks loose in the barn. Previously they had been in the barn with the other 5 (2 roosters & 3 hens) but they had been separated from them (in a cage).
Anyway, I'm hoping for more either tomorrow or at least in a couple of days.

10 of 16 today I have four older hens in molt

3 bantam hens, 2 bantam pullets,2 barred rock hens, 1 sussex/leggernX. I got 4 eggs, 3 from the big girls and just 1 bantam, the bantys are on a break, not really inducing any of them with light....

I am sad to say that on Saturday when I locked the coop for the night I found that I am missing a hen I checked the entire yard the next morning and there is no evidence of battle or anything. Hoping she will turn up in the next few days. Anyone have this happen? She was my friendliest hen too

Look under and in things.sometimes they fly up to perch on a rim of something and it will flip over on top of them. It is dark so they zone out. No clucking or screaming to alert you. I hope you find her.

I had this happen to me last night. Put everyone up for the night and I was missing two hens. I found one quickly on the other side of our pasture fence. We started to look for the other hen inside and out. I then hooked up my spotlight on the four wheeler and started to search the property. I wound up luckely finding her bedded up under my bass boat on the other side of my barn! She was just fine. I picked her up and put her in the coop. All is good now. I hope you find your missing hen shortly.
