Slowing down because of the shorter days and some are in the last stages of molt 12/28.

I think 2 today, unless 1 is in the yard. The hubby said the daughter brought in one egg, but that it was bloody and she accidently broke it & threw it away. Not sure why it would have been bloody! The hens look fine. Of the 2 roosters, 1 looks very bedraggled, sort of like it was dragged through the mud. The other rooster looks ok except that his comb is discolored, it has dark red/black patches on it. I am wondering if they decided to squabble over rank and the bedraggled one lost ( he use to be top rooster). This evening he was by himself on the lower perch while the other rooster was on the top perch with the girls. They use to all sit on the same perch.
I found the second egg when I got home this evening and turned off the light. The daughter had already shut and locked the barn up for the night.
I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings.
Sounds like the roosters had a "reshaping" of their pecking order.
